Daniel Habedank

Ops Manager, Onliner, Grader

Daniel is an experienced television finishing editor who has worked on a number high profile series over the past 20 years.  Cutting his teeth in a post production facility in Perth, Daniel joined TVNZ in 1999 as an online editor.  Since then he’s been involved in all manner of editing work including, TV series, Documentary, Film, News and Current Affairs,Corporates and TV commercials. He understands all aspects of post production and technical requirements and above all, understands the needs of content producers and their clients.

Kevin Henderson

Editor

Kevin joined VTR in 2003 after completing a course at South Seas Film & Television School. His stint as an assistant editor equipped him with a good grasp of the technical aspects of post. He’s now an experienced editor with a keen eye for detail. Kevin’s editing credits include Grassroots Rugby, Native Affairs, Food In A Minute, Attitude & BNZ TV.  As well as editing, Kevin is also responsible for local and international content distribution.  He is also an avid lover of sport, especially cricket.

Some Recent Work: Matau, Toyota Grassroots Rugby, Mainfreight Rugby, Coca-Cola Christmas In The Park Stories.

Teresa Taniora

Accounts Administrator

Teresa is the integral part of our front of house operations.  She deals with our accounts and general running of our office.  She is your first point of contact for any queries you may have.

She just got married and is currently in honeymoon phase so constantly in a good mood.

Neil Newcombe

Senior Sound Engineer / Director

Neil is the Godfather of Television Sound Mixing here in Auckland.

Having just celebraeted his 50 years in the industry, Neil recorded location sound and mixed post-sound at TVNZ for 27 years and set up the original Shortland Street audio post system at TVNZ in 1992.

He later left to set up Suite 16 at VTR and was fortunate to have the show follow him here the next year. He has overseen the creative input and quality control of several thousand TV shows at Suite 16.

Today his skill and knowledge in Sound mixing is second to none and has still one of the best ears in the business.  Talk to Neil if you’d like to discuss your next show or series. neil@vtr.co.nz.

Dialogue Editor

Margaret has a keen ear for sound continuity which has been acquired after editing thousands of television programmes throughout her career.

Ethan Tan

Senior Sound Engineer

Ethan has many years of film and television experience here and overseas. His expertise range from sound designing, mixing and music composition. He has worked for the likes of Disney, Discovery Channel, ESPN, Nickelodeon and MTV. He is also a very accomplished musician (violin/piano) having performed in many concerts over the years. We are very fortunate to have him with us.

Merv Aitchison

Freelance Sound Engineer

 

Merv is one of our most valued freelance audio engineers here at Suite 16.  He has gained many years sound mixing experience while working at The Natural History Unit in Dunedin.  Lucky for us, Merv is now based in Auckland and is a regular contributor to Suite 16.

When he’s not sliding faders and tweeking nobs, Merv likes to create beautiful pottery.
